Everyone faces hard time in life. It does not matter how the person has fallen into this situation, how fast the person can recover is the only thing that matters. In these tough times people might need to consider selling their house. In these scenarios […]
Positive Self Talk attracts Positive Energy. Just as like energy attracts like energy. Positive Self Talk attracts positive people, events and circumstances.
So what do you do if you are not feeling so positive? When you feel sad, angry, annoyed, or simply drained? You certainly do not want to stay that way if you want to attract positive things to your life.
Use Positive Self Talk to turn that negative energy into positive:
Acknowledge your negative feeling. Yes, acknowledge that you are feeling it. Do not deny or suppress it – simply allow yourself to feel it. By acknowledging it, it will be easier for you to leave that feeling. However, do not dwell or wallow in that feeling. Simply recognize it, and use your Positive Self Talk to change the inner feelings.
Find something to be grateful for. No matter how bad your day went, there must be something that happened that you are thankful for, no matter how small. It might be running into a friend, getting a good lunch, or something else. Dwell on this gratitude, meditate over it and let it pass to your subconscious mind.
Think about someone or something you love. Think about a loved one smiling at you. Think about a happy moment you spent together, and just as mentioned before, meditate over it and allow it to pass to your subconscious mind.
Read a joke or listen to lively music. This is especially effective if you are feeling simply tired or annoyed. A good joke or happy music can quickly shift your energy to positive. Relax your mind and let the joke or music sink into your system.
Take a break. Close your eyes, sit in a relaxed position, and breathe deeply. Imagine a beam of light shining through the center of your body. Feel that light spreading through and warming your body. You can do variations to this meditation, or do whatever relaxing meditation you are comfortable with.
Talk to positive people. Their positive energy can give you a quick pick-me-up. Positive energy is usually stronger than negative energy so their positive energy will most likely “infect” you!
So gradually eraze that negative feeling from your mind and replace it with positive feelings. Let the positive feelings permeate your body. And let your mind continue to have Positive self Talks.
Follow these tips and feel that positive energy flowing through you.

One of the biggest reasons, perhaps the biggest reason people don’t succeed in achieving their dreams is negative self talk. You will have what you say, positive or negative, whether your speaking it or circulating it in your thoughts. You can generate negative self talk yourself or it can be placed in your head by someone else. But even if someone else puts it there, you have the choice of believing it, leaving it there or banishing it. What choice have you made?
Though I am 52 years old I can vividly remember my sixth grade teacher looking at my artwork and making a disparaging remark about my lack of artistic skill. To this day I remember how that made me feel and when I remember it I feel that way all over again. All my life I’ve wanted so much to be able to draw or paint; but whenever I have thought about giving it a try, the picture in my head of my sixth grade teacher appears in my head and I tell myself I don’t have any talent. So all these years I haven’t tried to draw or paint though I have a burning desire too. Do YOU give your power away to others?
Sometimes negative self talk becomes so ingrained it becomes a habit and one doesn’t even realize how much negative self talk they are doing or how much it is impacting their life. It was a turning point for me when I reached the point where I could admit that I did as much negative self talk as I did. You have to admit it to yourself before you can stop it. What about you? Think about it. How much negative self-talk do you do? How do you think it has held you back personally and/or professionally?
Negative self-talk limits you and your enjoyment of life. It is a self-made prison where nothing good can flourish. In my life I’ve had a really long battle with Lupus which I am now in remission from for two years. Lupus, as much as it turned my life upside-down, was also a blessing, a great teacher. One of the many things it taught me was to NOT let anything or anybody limit my life. It taught me we were meant to be alive not just in body but in spirit; experiencing all the joy life can give. As Kierkegard said, ” Life can only be understood backwards, but it’s meant to be lived forwards.” You can’t live forward if you’re saying negative self-talk speeches to yourself.
I don’t know you but I know something about you from your choice to read this article. Today you can change your future by resolving to change your thoughts starting right now. Just as I have resolved to spend my next vacation trying my hand at drawing and painting.
We are constantly asking ourselves questions, either in a positive or negative manner. Most of the time this is not a very conscious process. For example, something bad happens and we ask ourselves, “Why me?” Our minds start to find answers to that question, effectively […]

For some time I have been toying with the idea of organising a Blogging Group Writing Project under the Personal Development auspices. I believe now is the right time to start one.
I am calling this Group Writing Project: How I Want To Be Seen.
Here are the rules:
1. In a new post, write and explain how you want to be seen by people. What are the things you want to be known for? The real stuff you want people to see in you. Bloggers are men and women of the world! Therefore, what do you want the world to know you for? Tell the world what you want people to perceive in you as an individual of some qualities. Blogging under Personal Development is about sharing. Please be free to share these inner thoughts with people so that they can benefit from you.
2. In the introductory paragraph of your post explain how you come by the How I Want To Be Seen Writing Project and put a link and/or trackback to this post, so that readers will know the rules, and for me to compile the full list of all participants later.
3. Remember to put a link or trackback to the blogger who tagged you, to enable your readers follow the discussion round. Also remember to mail the bloggers you tag.
4. You are allowed to tag as many bloggers as you wish. A project of this nature will help in their exposure. You’re doing them as well as yourself a world of good.
5. Remember, your post could be a wish or a desire for perfection, or real accomplishments. So, aim for the best. However, if your inner negative thought told you that you’re unrealistic, tell your inner negative thought to go to blazes.
6. Let’s keep the ball rolling, as the world sits back to watch and learn few Self Development lessons from us.
When you write down your How I Want To Be Seen (especially when you send them out to the Universe as desires and wishes) there is a strong believe that it is far more likely to be achieved. This topic might sound a little nutty, but remember who may read your intentions and offer support.
As For Me: How I Want To Be Seen.
I want to be seen as Abu Aremu, who is sharing his little knowledge of Personal Development (under Positive Self Talk) to inspire people to think positively about themselves, about people around them and about things around them.
A person that is devoting his time to inspire, better changes and creating a happier, more successful and more resourceful you. A person, who is spending a fair share of his resources to educate the people and making the world a better place to live in, through love, compassion and selflessness.
All of us, in one way or another, experience depression and anxiety, or sometimes panic attacks, especially when dealing with circumstances or struggles beyond our control. It seems as if these negative emotions are interconnected with each other, and they truly are. But in some […]
